About The Artist
Linda Scott
Acrylic Artist
Born in Central, California in 1949. I now reside in the beautiful state of Idaho with my husband of 57 years. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. My childhood dream was to become an artist. As a small child I had a creative streak. Born into a large family I was number 11 of 12. My world was very small as we lived in rural area without any neighborhood children to play with. I dreamed up places and people and sketched them on paper as painting materials were nonexistent in my little world. I traveled to places only my imagination could create. My passion is to transfer on canvas the beauty of the world around me and even some dark moments experienced. To tell a story with strokes of darkness and light, shadows and vivid color. I am a self-taught artist painting from moments experienced throughout my life. One of my mentors was William “Bill” Alexander the German painter who had a show on PBS. His encouragement was invaluable. My art makes me vulnerable, as I create, a part of me enters each painting. I believe that God gave me the gift to share with others. I’m excited every day to see where this amazing journey takes me.
